• Bishop Elijah E. Johnson Jr.

    Sr. Pastor

Historical Appointment---- We're For Jesus Ministry

God has done marvelous things and we are glad. For the first time in the history of We’re For Jesus Ministry, a Bishop was ordained. Apostle Dr. Robert L. Jones performed the ordination.

The atmosphere was charged from the message which Prophet Orange preached regarding elevation in the Spirit. Telling the congregation of how Moses was allowed to see the glory of God. and how God imparted that same glory into Moses’ leaders. By the laying on of hands of The presbytery. God set His man in place to lead the people of God at 5000 N. Main St. in Jacksonville Florida. Bishop Johnson was anointed as was King David in the presence of his brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Bishop Elijah E. Johnson Jr. was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL to Betty J. Johnson and the late Elijah Johnson Sr. Bishop Johnson has served in numerous capacities prior to his appointment, including being a Deacon, Ordained Minister, Song leader Ministry, Prison Ministry, Asst. Pastor, Co-Pastor and now the Bishop and Pastor of The We’re For Jesus. He is a hard worker and a humble servant for God. Bishop Johnson served in his earlier years under the founder, Dr. Mary A. Jones and Apostle Dr. Robert L. Jones.

Bishop Johnson let’s everyone know how grateful he is to God for saving him, and delivering him from a life of sin. He has continued his faithfulness and obedience to God in the ministry.

God saw fit to elevate him to this position and carry on the work of the ministry. The foundational teaching of “Praise Ye the Lord of Host” will continue to echo in the church. Praying, fasting, preaching deliverance, casting our devils and most of all lifting up the name of Jesus will be the course taken by the Bishop. As we appreciate God, we also appreciate the man of God who is now serving as Bishop, and Pastor, Elijah Johnson Jr. His wife Lady Denise Diane Johnson is his faithful and devoted companion. This beautiful couple have one son, three daughters and eight grandchildren. Truly our Bishop has the qualifications as outlined in the book of Titus 1:7, for a bishop must be blameless as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre.
